2016 Year in Review

2016 was a great year! It started out with Boogie Stomp finishing up its 4 month Off-Broadway run in Times Square, NYC and ended up with Boogie Stomp giving a special performance at the Steinway Gallery of Detroit and 4 shows at the Robin Theater in Lansing, MI. Somewhere in the middle there Boogie Stomp also toured Russia again, selling out Tchaikovsky Hall for the second time, and selling out the Polytechnic Institute in Saint Petersburg and a beautiful concert hall in Kaliningrad. Amidst all the Boogie Stomp shows I also found time to visit Seattle and Tucson a couple times and perform some really fun shows there as a solo act.

My songwriting has gotten some wind in its sales again and I have been writing a lot more. I even dug out a song that I wrote some time ago called "Gimmie Attention" and reworked it with a Japanese pop star. He released it as a single and we performed it together in Tokyo to a sold-out crowd of 1500 in August for his birthday concert.

The beginning of 2016 also saw the release of my instructional book "How To Play Boogie Woogie Piano" by publisher Hal Leonard. To help publicize the book I performed a set at the Hal Leonard area at the NAAM show in Anaheim, CA.

I am looking forward to all the wonderful opportunities that 2017 will bring. And of course I couldn't be doing any of this without your support. THANK YOU!!!
